The Tim Bit

Two weeks ago, on one fine Thursday evening, we embarked upon a Sunset Ride to Gananoque, ON. Once there, we purchased a box of double-chocolate Tim Bits which were quickly devoured. All but one.

Today, as we prepared to leave for our regularly scheduled Saturday morning ride, there it was - the Tim Bit! It was quietly resting, hiding almost, in a nook on Ralph Thompson's engine. I opened my knife and skillfully removed said bit from the nook and, as we all huddled and peered over it, we discovered that it was intact, although a bit dry (no pun intended), and still smelled edible. Yes, indeed!

It was at this time that better judgment overtook my strong desire to taste the morsel but it did cause us to wonder - what in creation could that Tim Bit have been made of that it would endure the weather, heat of a Triumph Bonneville engine and the elements for two weeks?!

As we stood there, momentarily dazed, it occurred to us we had a ride to ride!

We rode up to Jones falls - a fair ride on a beautiful day but one plagued with the question - what material is it that comprises a Tim Bit? It was truly a series of "Jack Handy" moments.
