(Calabogie Fall Ride & Initiation of the Tony's Cycle R.A.T. Pack)

We met at Tony's Cycle this morning at 9:00 a.m. and took some pictures of our new RAT pack (among others). The general riding group was large enough that it was divided into three. The RAT pack , led by Larry, left last. We met up at Kaladar to gas up and take a brief stretch. The RAT pack left first and it wasn't long before we were into the twisties - kickin' it up a notch. The beauty of this ride is almost inexplicable. The day was bright and sunny, the air clear and almost crisp. It was perfect riding weather. The landscape was filled with colours which you can only see at the onset of fall. In another week or two it will be spectacular.

We pulled into the Buckhorn Roadhouse and chatted, stretched and ogled the myriad motorcycles which were parked there.  After eating we had some more pictures taken.  Mike was posing as the R.A.T. pack centerfold.  This particular group has some pretty experienced motorcyclists - two of which are ex-racers (Chris and Larry) and one is a motorcycle instructor (Mike).  Could we have it any better?  We met a couple from Renfrew who were riding a sweet looking Triumph Adventurer.  The dang thing was almost as nice as mine! (snicker - just kidding Murray & Elizabeth).

Before long it was time to head back.  The only thing that got me over the depression of that moment was the incredibly beautiful ride back.  We stopped at Westport for refreshments and headed back down old Division Street to Kingston.  What a day!

*If your pic isn't here I apologize.  I got in as many as I could under the circumstances.  I'll be happy to add it if you can send it to me here. :)

Check back every so often as we're still updating this page.  This was the best ride of me this year.  Thanks to all who participated and to Tony's Cycle for organizing such a kickin' event!
